Interesting Quote

"When I look into your eyes, I see JPEG artifacts. I can  tell by the pixels that we're wrong for each other."

When mouseover the picture, you will see the quote.

Very interesting thing to ponder about.

I hate adobe acrobat...

Okay... enough is enough. This piece of crap is totally garbage. Why the hell does it take more than 10 minutes to install it and it takes up freaking 2GB almost? WHAT THE ****?

I respect Adobe for their product but the more I think  about PDF, the more sometimes, I want to shove it up their rear...

I hate adobe acrobat so much. There has got to be another better way of doing things. Just like QuickSilver, I'll change that too.

Good bye...

Just told my best friends for the past 4 years that I cannot be friend with her any longer. So many things happened and I have done so many things wrong that even being friends is a tortue to my best friend. My mental instabilities and my unstable personalities compounded to many other already insecure factors within the friendship...

I am a evil evil betrayer. She will be happier without me in her life. Everyday, I am bathed in torment and don't know what to do with her. She no longer trusts me and everything I do drives her nuts and me too.... it's a so bizzare way of torturing everyone in the loop. I want to make her happy but everything I do for her, she feels either weird or become sadder or getting more driven near being crazy...

From  all  I can see, I can keep driving everyone crazy or just leave and carry my shame with me and let her hate me for my actions. Afterall, it pains me more to see her suffer from my action than my own sufferings and my personality is destroying everything that was happy.

...so  yeah, guess that's the end of it. Loser status confirmed. Going to get a hat with a BIG L on the forehead.

Wish she can be happy though. I never wanted to hurt her but I guess... that's always what I ended up doing. I deserve the loss... and she deserves a  better friend and someone who can look out for her back better than I do. I suck  as a good frined and I need to be a better person.

Server Setup

...at work got the cool experience to try and set up our own server. It was a pain in the butt. Even with the fully video guide, Mac OS X Server was quite hard to wrap my head around with.

I would never have imagined it to be this painful. However, with some perseverance, I think I should be able to establish the server from the ground up and make everything work the way I hope it will.

The Entries that was long overdue

... so many small things has happened so this will be very disorganized.

back up and data loss...
I hate it when this happened. My coworker was in the lab the other day and asked to borrow my HDD and they backed up one of its bay onto the desktop. However, the problem is that because I have to reorganize what was on that computer and deleted that account and the desktop folder was annilated as well... depressing. it didn't do much harm though as most of my really important stuff was actually in bay two. but it was a close call. it bay two had been knocked out, then I would have lost most of my uviversity there. A cautious word to the wise: never back up to the desktop and always remember where you backed up to.

StarCraft memento...
I was never good at it nor a huge fan of it. The fear of the darkness and the unknown was the main reason that I prefer the C&C series. However, for old times sake, I played it again these days. I was glad I was able to coordinate everything well and think from a global perspective... something that I was not able to do from the past. It feels good to learn from old toys. :D

Life's fair...
I always thought life is very fair...however, I was only deceiving myself... the fact is that life was and is never fair. I always believed that there is something out there to uphold justice, right, maybe it was fate. To all those people around me, I tried to give more than how much I receive because I anticipate their aids when I need their help eventually... however, world never works like that.

It was my own fault to even expect returns. The old sayings warned me against anticipating returns for a favor, they suggested not doing favors for that reason and should only do good for others based on our pure selfless intentions and willingness to help just like many religions professed.

I have to say that they were quite right... but for a different reason. The old sayings actully has more connotation to it and more pragmatic perspectiveo behind it. The real reason is that people are inherently selfish and simply don't give a damn about others, period. Sometimes, it's just how the world works. Of course, there are exceptions: close friends and relationship does make people less selfish but it will never change the inherent selfish nature of mankind. You will be greatly disappointed if you do have ANY expectations of anyone really, not mentioning when you are desperate and when you life depends on them. I see I should listen to the old words way more often: do the good deed for the sake of it, not for the expected friendly help I might receive.

I am happy I am learning this early because, from this point forward, the my strategy to everyone changes. I will be blunt and be a badass who doesn't give a damn. From this point onward, I fight for my own too and it's an allout free for all war.

Shawshank redemption

Shawshank redemption.
Just finished listening that book and I have to say its damn good.
Nice story and properly revealed the horror of those being instituted
in prison. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a interesting
quick read.

I'll probably read a lot more novels by Stephen King. He is now my
favorite novelist.

Life moves on

Happy today I actually did one thing I never had the courage of. Most things fall apart exactly like I planned almost but my thoughts are what disturbs me the most...

Sometimes, the worst battles are fought inside and balance one's mind and soul. Perhaps, I should take it easy from now on. Life are doing to be a drag for a while.

iPhone rant

WHAT the ****** * * * * * ***** ******** is up with iPhone 3G firmware? I can't believe how much Apple messed up this time.

The 2.0.1 bricked quite a few phones and got them stuck in endless Apple logo to restore mode loop cycle and the iTune error gives ever better explainations: UNKNOWN ERROR with -6... WOW... that's impressive. Guess Apple can't handle all the 3rd party apps that was not designed by apple and bit the dust. So I had to use ANOTHER computer to get the firmware 2.0.1 on there (and that's after like 4 tries...). Once it was on there finally, I left it on the iTune on my main computer to get recovery and when I woke up this morning, I was glad it restored almost all my applications but no music or songs whatsoever. When I connect it to the iTune, I only have the choice of SETTING UP A NEW PHONE or RESTORE FROM BACKUP, What the...........

At that moment, I was really pissed. I mean, is it really hard to just WORK? I mean... it's APPLE... they are the king in UI and easy user interaction. COME ON... step up to the reputation and make this process a bit EASIER will ya? Jeesh.

As if the bricking wasn't scary enough. The only thing I am glad is that at least they make backup of all datas before do anything fun.

just so sloooooooooooooooow..............

Now, I left my phone at home and it has been like 2.5 hours into restoring... and stillbarely 50% yet... make me fear that I might have truly bricked it this time............. sigh. CURSE YOU, 2.0.1...!

Leaking Baywindow

Awesome Friday trip to Waterloo and the nice tour of the campus. The night back I saw baywindow leaking in the living room. Things are bad. I hate water, especially inside house.
Woke up Sunday morning by 11AM. Spent most of today trying to seal the windows upstairs facing south and prevent any more future leakages. The wooden frame upstairs is literally non-existent due to poor maintenance over the past eight years. I believe that if we hadn't caught the rain then pretty much most of the wood in the house would have become rotten and cause major damage.

Too tired. Going to catch some zzzzzz

You are not alone in this world.

You are not alone in this world.

You are not alone in this world..

You are not along in this world...

The worst thing will happen when you believe we are all loners walking through a path of darkness through life.

To all MacBook, MacBook Pro users!!!

ATTENTION!
If you EVER have trouble installing Windows on your MB or MBP when you see a BLACK SCREEN WITH BLINKING CURSOR and NOTHING ELSE and cannot initiate XP32, XP64, Vista 32, or Vista 64, it is because you NEED TO DO A HARD RESET of your laptop!!!

I have seen this happen second time in my two days long career into bootcamping and Mac defiling...

Essentially, when you PULL the plug and TAKE out the battery and PRESS the power button trying to start the computer, it will drain a special circuit (forgot what it was called) and reset whatever it is and the next time when you still go and reboot into the installation media (whatever it is...) it WILL NO LONGER GIVE YOU THE BSOD (black screen of death)... and allow the BLUE screen of XP install or Vista install to continue!!!

BE WARNED... out of the 3 Apple laptop I have seen, I see this happen to TWO of them already. So, if you run into the exact same problem, this will MOST LIKELY resolve your issue.

Cheers... Hope you can enjoy XP :P hahahaha
